FORT BRAGG, NORTH CAROLINA — The fiancée of 1st Lt. Tyler James Feehan, the 25-year-old U.S. Army officer k1ll3d during an Iranian missile and drone attack on Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan.
Has shared an emotional tribute remembering the man she planned to marry, describing him as a leader whose greatest strength was his compassion and commitment to serving others.
In a statement released days after the attack, Feehan’s fiancée said the Army officer was «the love of my life» and that his loss had left her devastated.
She said that while many people knew him as a soldier, those closest to him knew him as a man who lived every day guided by the Army’s core values of loyalty, duty, respect, selfless service, honor, integrity, and personal courage.
According to her tribute, Tyler James Feehan believed leadership began with kindness and humility. She said he treated everyone equally, regardless of their background, financial situation, race, gender, or rank.
His greatest passion, she explained, was mentoring the soldiers under his command, helping them prepare not only for military service but also for their futures through education, financial planning, and personal guidance.
Beyond his military career, Feehan enjoyed building LEGO sets, supporting the Atlanta Falcons, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
He was only weeks away from completing his Master of Business Administration at Southern Utah University and hoped to attend law school after returning home.
His long-term dream was to become a high school football coach, where he planned to continue mentoring young people and teaching financial responsibility.
The fiancée also revealed that the final message she received from Feehan before he d13d simply read, «I love you.»
She said those three words perfectly reflected the kind of person he was and expressed her commitment to honoring his legacy for the rest of her life by remembering not only his military service but also the kindness he showed to everyone around him.
The U.S. Department of Defense confirmed that 1st Lt. Tyler James Feehan, of Ewa Beach, Hawaii, was among the American service members k1ll3d during the Iranian attack on Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan.
The Pentagon also identified Pvt. Isabella Gonzales, 19, and later confirmed Sgt. Angel S. Rampersad, 28, among those who l0st their l1v3s in the attack.
In a separate incident in Iraq, Sgt. Michael Emmanuel Swinton, 30, also d13d while conducting operations involving an Iranian drone.
